Multiple Peter Parker Spider-Man comics + Doctor Octopus Spider-Man comics + Spider-Man 2009 comics are all selling better than your HAIL DIVERSITY AFRICAN AMERICAN MILES MORALS Spider-Man comic. I don't give a fuck about which skin color you try to push in comics. Black, white, yellow, red, purple... It doesn't matter. I care about characters and you killed off Peter Parker for Miles Morals and the sales killed Miles Morals. At least your four african american families seem to be happy now.

And I don’t know about you guys, but Miles is the default Spidey in my mind nowadays. Such an insanely well written and interesting character. Probably definitely the comic book character I most sincerely care about.

Also, go buy Miles Morales: The Ultimate Spider-Man. If not only to spite this asshole.

I never saw Miles as a diversity move. I assumed that Bendis killed Peter because he wrote a really fantastic Death of Spider-Man story and wanted it to be permanent, and mark the end of his brilliant Peter Parker USM run. Miles was just something cool to do with the franchise after Parker was buried, or at least that’s the impression I got.

That said, fuck all 3 of these people: anon, brev and john. “This particular fictional character would be appalled by you having that opinion” is some hilariously dumb shit to write on the internet, especially when he ain’t even your character.
